The Alpha’s Broken Oath begins the Feral Hearts Saga series with Winter’s and Deacon’s heartbreaking broken bond romance as their past merges with the present reality for mates who were torn apart by lies and deceit.

Winter knew that Deacon was her mate.  Sure, she hadn’t gotten her wolf yet, but she was still certain beyond question that her brother’s best friend was the man, the wolf meant for her.  And for one glorious day, the day her wolf finally appeared, it seemed like the future was theirs for the taking… until her family was killed in a fire that she believed was set intentionally and until Deacon rejected her in front of the entire pack.  Winter fled, left her love, her pack behind, running to an unknown future, heartbroken… but she carried more than just memories with her.

I loved watching the reunion between Deacon and Winter take place.  Seven years.  A long time to be rejected, a long time for an alpha to search for his mate, knowing it was his lie that sent her running in the first place.  He’s searched for her and finally found where she settled and made a new life for herself.  But there are some things this alpha has no clue about, and those little boys, in the image of him, are about to change his world.

The Alpha’s Broken Oath by Jennifer Eve is well-written, emotional, steamy, and has more than a few twists along the way before Deacon and Winter can finally claim their happiness.  Some I suspected, others caught me completely off guard.  I love when that happens.  Watching Deacon grovel (well, as much as a powerful alpha will), and seeing the indecision in Winter as she weighs all she’s learned was an intense, emotional journey.  If you love a story that keeps you on edge, that gives all the feels you could ask for, and a couple to root for to find their happy ending, then you’d love this one.
