Good Lord, he scared the living crap out of me as he grabbed me from behind. But I got him with my bear spray!

My god, what kind of grumpy, sensual, thought-provoking hunk of a man, lunatic is this, and how in hell did something that big sneak up on me?

I was petrified yet all goosebumpy while I was trying to get my bearings. Pun Intended.

Somehow I felt invaded and secure at the same time and wet……. wait what?

What is she doing here, and who in hell carries bear spray with a camera phone and yaps into it as if the world is watching from the other side?

Why is my bear trying to tear through my skin to get to her? Oh, that damn phone.  Oh goddess ……… She IS live streaming!

Grumpy Guardian’s Heart is the second title in the Bear Hearts series and brings us the tumultuous romance between Lily and Malcolm.  Lily is Samantha’s cousin, currently visiting the sanctuary.  She’s also an investigative influencer… with a camera phone, and live streaming things she should not be seeing.  Especially when whatever her camera captures goes out to her followers immediately.  She’s trouble in a tiny, attractive human package, and Malcolm is completely frustrated by her… even more so as he realizes she’s his mate.  How in the world is he going to safeguard the shifters here from her prying eyes (and camera) and still keep his secret from his mate?  Impossible.  But there’s danger brewing as well, and Lily’s followers might just be the answer to a battle that none of them wants to face.

I adored Lily.  She’s stubborn, opinionated, passionate, and believes she knows best… about everything.  Malcolm is equally stubborn, but is slowly softening to Lily.  He has to protect his mate, but he also needs to protect the shifters that she’s bound to expose if they aren’t careful. Grumpy Guardian’s Heart by KC Wilde is a well-written, funny, yet suspenseful romance as danger steps in and unexpected alliances are formed.  I completely enjoyed myself, and if you love a shifter romance that will have you giggling, sighing in frustration, and gasping at the reveals to come, then you’re going to love this one.
