Fired Up Love is the fourth title in the Enchanted Falls series, and this time brings us an ancient dragon elder and a much younger (think centuries younger) lioness with spunk, sass, and a determination to make her mother’s dream spa a reality.

For me, some characters stay in my mind long after the final page has been turned (or flipped)… Zina and Xai were those types of characters who came alive and stayed.  Their story is intense; the danger felt very real, very ominous, constantly.  As their bond grew stronger, they met the danger together with wit, courage, and not a few snarky comments bartered between them.  Zina is not afraid to stand up to the evil that wants to destroy not only her spa, but the town itself.  And, I have to admit, that I often gave a quiet chuckle in the midst of the danger at her sarcastic comments.  Xai is almost stoic; he is, after all, a very ancient dragon.  Yet, he’s also a dragon who believed he’d never find his mate… until she stood right in front of him, tossing sass and smelling of possibilities.  Watching his walls fall as he lets Zina into his life was delightful to experience.

Although I have loved and enjoyed every story (so far) in the Enchanted Falls series, it’s Fired Up Love by Milly Taiden that will linger on long after I’ve moved on to other stories.  Yeah, it was that kind of book for me.  If you love a well-written, engaging, steamy shifter/paranormal romance full of dangers with touches of snark and sass tossed in, then you’d feel right at home in Fired Up Love by Milly Taiden.  Enjoy, I know I certainly did.
