Chasing Stripes is the third title in the Enchanted Falls series, and brings us Artemis’s and Bartek’s compelling romance.  Artemis is a fae baker who has taken over her parents’ bakery after their deaths.  Her mother’s recipes always added a touch of magic to their delightful menu… but she never knew that there was even more magic hidden within those recipes.

Bartek is a successful businessman, opening his newest bar right across the street from the bakery.  This Alpha tiger shifter is… uneasy in this new location. A scent, a feeling, follows him constantly, and he can’t help but keep glancing out the windows to track Artemis as she moves around the bakery.  He’s a lone tiger, putting his people above anything else, including his personal life.  His tiger may be purring “mate”, but the man is fighting tooth and claw against that declaration.  But fate has other ideas, and soon he and Artemis are experiencing a very rare bond, the soul-tethering bond… something that an evil collector will do anything to destroy while stealing magical artifacts, no matter the cost in lives.

Chasing Stripes by Milly Taiden is intense, engaging, and kept me on edge throughout Artemis and Bartek’s journey.  The danger levels slowly ratchet up, building steadily (along with their attraction/bond) as we discover what this collector of items that don’t belong to him is truly after.  I loved this addition to the Echanted Falls world, and if you love a well-written, emotional, smoldering shifter romance with touches of humor and danger you can feel, then you’d enjoy Chasing Stripes by Milly Taiden.
