Shifter Vets!
Angel is a small-town veterinarian with a horny secret. Everly is a stressed-out manager on vacation who just found a darling baby dragon. He knows they were made for each other. But a few things stand between them and true love, namely…
1. A truckload of mystery fish.
2. His suspicious werewolf colleague.
3. Her job that won’t leave her alone.
4. The flaw in his magic that got him rejected by the other unicorns.
5. A deadly creature whose gaze turns living things to stone.
6. A teleporting chicken.
Her life is in the city. His is in the country. But Vets For All Pets–and the magical animals its shifter vets care for–have a lot of practice at bridging different worlds…

My TBR is huge. This story is one that I fell in love with the description, bought, and then got enticed by new shiny things… if you’re a bookdragon, then you understand exactly what I mean! The great thing about books is that they’re always brand new to someone who hasn’t opened them yet.
Unicorn Vet is the first story in the Shifter Vets trilogy. I am in love with this trilogy already, and I’ve only just begun. Angel is a veterinarian in an extremely small, somewhat magical town. He’s a compassionate man, with a magical touch with the animals that need his help. And did I mention he’s… a unicorn shifter? Yep. And this man who believes he’s all alone in the world is about to meet his mate when she brings a very magical animal that she found to his office.
Everly is the manager of a five-star restaurant. She’s good at what she does, perhaps too good since she’s supposed to be on a well-deserved vacation yet she’s constantly juggling desperation texts from those she left in charge while she’s away. This tiny town is exactly what she needs… beautiful woods, calming atmosphere, finding a dragonette in the woods… wait. A what? She has no idea what this adorable creature is, but hopefully, the vet can make sure that it’s okay. And if she and this beautiful creature have already begun to bond, well, she’d deal with that later… along with the sudden attraction to one handsome, caring vet. Angel has found his mate… but how can this work when they live far different lives?
This story is the reason I’ll always return to, or pick up the most recent Zoe Chant book (no matter which of the Zoes wrote it). It’s lighthearted, made me laugh out loud, worry a tiny bit, introduced me to some new magical creatures, and gave me a couple that aside from one being a shifter did the cute-meet, fall in love fast, time to meet the folks like any other couple without tons of drama. I can’t wait to dive into the next story.
I own a Kindle edition of this title.
