Rescued by the Secret Wolf continues the Shifter Wolves of Pleasant Valley series with a character we’ve seen in several of the earlier books, Carter.  This loner who owns the motel and the cabins in town will finally meet his mate under dire circumstances.  Ivy is the daughter of a vile father who is very willing to sell his daughter in order to pay off his debts without one concern for her safety.  We’ve also run into the family that she is being sold to, and once again Sparks and his equally nasty, vile son will wreak havoc on innocents with no regrets.  Ivy will escape from the forced wedding only to find herself on the run and collapsing at the front door of Carter’s motel office.  She’s found safety, and new friendships… but she’s also found more wolf shifters, and now she’s falling for a man who has secrets of his own.

I enjoyed my time spent in Rescued by the Secret Wolf.  Carter and Ivy’s story is full of action, good people coming to the rescue of a stranger, vile and entitled villains, and the love of one good man who will do everything possible to protect his mate.  We get to catch up with some of the couples we met previously as well.  I love this world so much.  The story is well written and kept me fully engaged with what was happening on each page.  If you love a good, solid Shifter Romance then this story and this series would be perfect for you.
