Alpha’s Chosen Curse is the third title in the Crowned Mates series, giving us a chance to meet Fiona and Erik, mates who have a very rocky road to travel before they find their eventual happy ending.  Although I have not yet read the earlier stories in this series, anything necessary to understand this story was found in either the dialogue or the narrative.  Maya & Griffin, Leanna & Cedric played a part in this story, so now I need to know their beginnings.

When Fiona escapes her captors, she, unwittingly, runs into her fated mate.  Their dance for independence and duty will be a relationship filled with half-truths, mate bonds, mistrust, and misunderstandings as Fiona not only struggles with her wolf, but with an entire organization on the hunt for one escaped artificial shifter who never had a choice in anything that happened to her.  She’s taken control of her life once more, only… at what cost?

I enjoyed Alpha’s Chosen Curse by Jaymin Snow very much.  It’s an intense shifter romance with characters who leap off the page, two stubborn people who both believe they are right, and yet they both go about proving that in the wrong ways.  The betrayals they, especially Fiona, will face broke my heart.  If you love a well-written shifter romance full of danger, fated mates, and intrigue, then Fiona and Erik’s story is a perfect match for you.
