Omega Unmasked hit all the right buttons for me in a really good Shifter romance.  Jacques is an honorable man, working hard to pay off the debts left over from his Grandmother’s final days.  That some of the ways he works to pay off that debt involve underground fight clubs, well that doesn’t take one ounce of honor away from the man.  He’s good, he knows his limits yet he’s unsettled now that he has no true family left in the area.  Sure he has the Aspen Valley pack, but he hasn’t renewed his loyalty pledge to them recently.  Perhaps it’s time to get out of town and find his future elsewhere.

Natasha has returned home after a disastrous relationship.  She’s living under their roof, temporally and the job at her father’s place of work is also temporary, but until she’s paid off the debt that relationship built she’s really got no other choice.  Meeting Jacques her first day on the job was definitely a plus and slowly they developed a friendship.  One that her father was quick to try to put an end to.  Yet Natasha is made of stronger stuff than what he tossed at her.  She knows what she wants – Jacques.  And she’s not afraid to fight for him, for them.

I enjoyed my time with Jacques and Natasha.  This is a quick, solid romance.  A bit sexy but not overpowering.  It really is more of a build up to a relationship that will last a life time.  I liked them both, individually and as a couple.  Aside from an interfering parent, there wasn’t much to get in the way of this couple except for one stubborn man’s perception of what his mate needed, even if that was him.  It’s sexy, it’s fun and I had fun with this one.  Hard toa sk more than that from any story.  I’d definitely recommend Omega Unmasked and this entire series.  It seems there is at least one more book on the horizon, and I’m looking forward to that release.
