Hex and the Dragon is the fourth title in the Mistwhisper Falls series.  When Ivy opens the wrong magical book, she somehow creates a bond with Dorian, an ancient dragon shifter.  With time running out as this quiet, magical town settles into an unnatural dream-state, this unexpected bonded couple has to not only solve the mystery, but acknowledge that this bond is a very good thing for them.  Fated mates don’t come along every day, and they shouldn’t ignore what’s happening between them, right?

The ancient evil that has awakened is seductive in its plot to take over Mistwhisper Falls.  If you could rewrite your history, change the mistakes, and find a better outcome to the choices you’ve made, would you stay in the present you know or change it to a far more “perfect” world?  Ivy and Dorian must find a way to silence the Chronicle without succumbing to its promises of perfection. 

I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic suspense where reality and falsehood clash, and only one can survive.  Hex and the Dragon by Milly Taiden is well-written, with a plot that kept me on my toes throughout.  It’s emotional, a bit steamy, and full of surprises.  It also offers a thoughtful question for us all… if you could choose perfection, would you give up all the experiences that have made you human, good and bad?  A seductive offer, indeed.
