Claimed by the Bear begins the Iron Mountain Bear Shifters series with a delightful “save his mate” romance when Della is, well, basically being sold off by her nasty piece of work of a father for his own evil gains.  She knows what she’s stepping into, but Della will do anything to save her sister, even marry a stranger in a loveless marriage.  Until her father’s plan doesn’t go quite as planned, when her intended insults her, and one mountain of a man flattens his estranged brother and rescues his mate in a far different ceremony, a very different future.  Boone has found his fated mate, and he isn’t about to allow his rotten-to-the-core family to use her in any way.

Claimed by the Bear is the first time I’ve read any of Lyla Boone’s work, and I’ll definitely be back for more!  Della and Boone’s story is well-written, most definitely passionate, and emotional in the best ways.  We have a truly vile villain to loathe, a danger lurking around the edges, and a world to easily get caught up in.  Their story delivered on everything I enjoy about the fated-mate Shifter world, and I will be following this series (and checking out her backlist as well).  If this sounds like your kind of Paranormal/Shifter Romance, then you’re going to love Della and Boone’s fiery hot romance.
