I love the beginning of any new Shifter series, by any author but I admit to looking forward to Terra Wolf’s newest – always. The Blue Bear Search and Rescue group of Shifters certainly sounds intriguing and sizzling delicious as well I might add. And we begin with their Alpha, Xavier.
Laurel has hidden her fox from just about everyone, including at times herself. Call it a part of her upbringing or call it cautious knowing that not everyone is thrilled to discovers the Shifters among us — still, she hides. She doesn’t know it yer, but her days of hiding are just about over. Thanks to one sexy, stubborn polar bear shifter… who won’t give up on them.
Xavier wasn’t looking for a mate. He felt that he had a lot to atone for, and bringing someone else into his life was just asking for trouble. Then why did his senses pick up around the DOT clipboard holder on his most recent rescue. Something was off about that lovely lady – and his bear certainly wanted a closer look at what she’s hiding.
I love when a story can give me lighthearted humor, banter, friendship, some serious trouble brewing, sizzling sexy times and a couple that I can believe are falling in love, shifter or not. When all of that comes together – I am one happy camper reader. Laurel and Xavier were two people who have learned to hide parts of themselves quite well. Their romance became more serious when they started to show those hidden from everyone parts to each other. The trust it takes to reveal the parts of your life that you’ve kept under tight wraps is eventually freeing – but it’s also scary until you know the results.
The clan is a lovely mix of jokers, seriously grumpy, charmers and a strong Alpha who finally found his perfect Mrs. Alpha. I adore these guys and cannot wait to dive into their stories.
