Simon always wanted a wife—and child.
He just never expected them to arrive as one perfect package.
Wolf shifter, Simon, thought his chances of finding his mate and raising a child were gone. But then he finds his pregnant mate and it seems as if fate has stepped in to fulfill his wish.
All he needs to do is protect her from the father of her unborn baby, who is determined to rip the child away from its mother to raise as his own. Alone.
Gemma’s life has fallen apart. No, that’s not quite accurate. Gemma’s life has been destroyed by the father of her child. She’s lost her job, had her bank accounts frozen, and been chased across the country by a man who wants her unborn child for himself.
Not happening. Gemma will do whatever it takes to keep her child.
When she winds up alone and broke in Bear Creek, she can’t believe her luck when a silver-haired wolf shifter tells her he is her mate. He promises to protect her and her child. But can she allow him to risk everything for her?
Can they prevent Gemma’s baby being taken and get a Second Chance Christmas in Bear Creek?
This is an Adult 18+ story that does contain language and sexual situations between mates.
Titles in the A Second Chance Christmas in Bear Creek series includes: The Bear Buys A Bride – The Wolf Wants A Wife –
This series connects in some ways to the Bear Creek series, the Bear Bluff series, the Return to Bear Bluff series, and the Return to Bear Creek series. Characters from all these series seem to visit in quite a neighborly fashion *grin* between Bear Creek and Bear Bluff… so if you haven’t checked them out the list of series is on the Harmony Raines page.
Title: The Wolf Wants A Wife
Series: A Second Chance Christmas in Bear Creek #2
Author: Harmony Raines
Published: January 6, 2019
My Rating: 4.5 stars
I was so pleased to see Simon, our silver wolf, finally discover his mate… and what an intriguing mystery she brings with her. Gemma’s fear is just as obvious as her baby bump, yet neither of those factors changes the fact that Simon has found his mate in one very frightened, determined woman who will run to protect her baby — and now her mate from someone out to destroy lives in order to have their own way.
There are some interesting twists in this romance, not everything is as it appears on the surface. It was fun to see some good buddies step in to help Simon and Gemma as well as the discovery of a very precious additional gift for Gemma. In trying to keep track of who in Bear Creek still is needing to find their mate… I’m coming up empty, but I’m certain we’re not done just yet. A fun romance with an older couple, instant parenthood for Simon as well the mate of his dreams — it doesn’t get much better than that. Loved stepping back into this universe once again, and I cannot wait for the next visit. I would not hesitate to recommend “The Wolf Wants A Wife” to any reader who has followed these connected sets of series – or someone who just loves a good shifter romance. Do you have to read all the series stories to enjoy this one? No, of course not… but it will enhance your reading experience if you know the background story of the people you’ll meet along the way, in my opinion.
