Oh, Finn.  He’s waited so long for his own mate to come into his life, he’s accidentally (on purpose, maybe) directed his brothers’ mates into their lives… but he can’t seem to do the same for himself.  All that’s about to change in The Bear’s Matchmaking Mix-up Mate, the sixth and final title in the Bear Creek Forever: Thornberg Vineyard series.   Trust me, Finn’s story was well worth the wait.

Of all the ladies who have found their way to Bear Creek and their forever mates, Wren’s story touched my heart the deepest.  She is wounded in a way that is devastating to anyone, but especially to an artist.  The man she’d loved has stolen her work, has caused her unimaginable pain… and, perhaps worst of all, he’s taken her ability to create music from her soul.  She’s come to her godmother’s in Bear Creek to regroup… or, well, to hide from the world, really.  She is so vulnerable right now, so suspicious of everyone and everything (and she has reasonable cause for that), she mistrusts a stranger’s visit to her tucked-out-of-the-way cabin, not knowing that this man was the answer to her future… her mate.

I loved how tender Finn was with Wren.  He went against his own instincts to keep her secret, and maybe I loved him a little bit more than the other brothers for his sensitivity to his mate’s needs; his instinct to protect went to another level.  In my opinion, Harmony Raines did indeed save the best for last in Finn and Wren’s story.  It’s well-written, tender, passionate, emotional, and brought this part of the Bear Creek legacy to a satisfying close.  Now the wait to see what comes next.
