Read on for my thoughts on The Bear With No Name.
I loved the way that The Bear With No Name was presented to the reader from the very first line. If you pay close attention during the beginning of the story, before our hero’s accident – we are given no name for this obviously thoughtful, lonely and deep thinking character. We know he’s a shifter, yet we are drawn into his drama with little more than his thoughts and reactions to his surroundings to tempt us to read further. It gives a completely different feel to the story when for once the character is as much in the dark as we are at that point. It set the tone for a very interesting story.
And I loved the twist toward the ending of Lauren and our hero’s (nope gonna let you discover his name within the story) romance. But it certainly is a lovely little change up from what you think is happening. Oh, I can look back and see clues but it wasn’t obvious at the first read through. Love it.
I think on this one I’m going to let the Cover Description lure you into wanting to read this one. You honestly don’t need much more of a tease because the basics are there. Lauren is a strong character, one who trusts her instincts and trusts this stranger who doesn’t feel like a stranger to her. And she is quite logical in her handling of what her stranger turns out to be. I liked Lauren and felt she was every bit of an Alpha herself… for a human.
The Bear With No Name is a delightful, suspenseful story with a few twists and turns that add so much to the overall story being told. Yes, our couple is very sexually active, but you knew that Shifters and their mates are very physically loving kind of people. 🙂 It’s a solid story with charming characters that you can’t help but like. I kind of wish there were more stories in this charming little town – and who knows, maybe one day there will be. Definitely recommend for lovers of Shifters and Paranormal Romance.
