The Alpha’s Surrender begins the Shadow Peak Wolves series with a romance that melted my heart and captured my imagination from the first page through until the final word.  Brielle Wilde is a new-to-me author, and I’ll definitely be looking for more of her work, for she delivers a story that is rich in characters who are believable, even relatable (within the genre).  It was so easy to feel Maren’s fear, and to watch her slowly gain confidence, and trust in Grayson was an emotional journey.  The villain is truly vile, and it wasn’t difficult to see why Maren feared him.  Grayson, ah,  Grayson… he’s the type of hero I’ll fall for every day of the week.  He knows he’s found his mate, yet he also knows how wounded Maren is, and instead of rushing in to “save” her, he’ll slowly show her his protection, his dedication, and eventually his love and passion for the only woman meant for him.

I don’t know if this story is the author’s debut, for I couldn’t find any other titles beyond this series.  Yet I do know that I’ll be following her work, for I completely enjoyed my time in her world.  It’s a well-written tale, full of varied emotions, a believable plot, secondary characters who add to the overall story, and a couple whose journey I had no problem imagining would lead to a happy ending.  If that sounds like your kind of Shifter Romance, then you’d love The Alpha’s Surrender by Brielle Wilde.
