The Alpha’s Pregnant Mate begins the Rose Valley Wolves series with a story full of dangerous anticipation as Sienna desperately tries to settle, once again, in one safe place… before she’s on the run again.  She’s not sure who is after her, only that everywhere she stops for a few weeks of normalcy, eventually someone close to her, a new friend, or a co-worker ends up either harmed or dead.  She’s headed to a town that is said to be a sanctuary for paranormals; perhaps she can finally outrun her destiny… but she can’t let down her guard to allow anyone to get too close.

Kai would never have imagined that he’d run into his mate… no, literally smack ran right into them on the crowded street.  Or that his mate would take one startled look at him and head in the opposite direction!  Maybe he’s wrong; maybe this intense need to follow her, to know her, to protect her is some weird virus going around.  Or maybe she didn’t feel the same impact that Kai did.  But that won’t stop him from learning more about this beautiful stranger in his town.  Because there’s a mystery here, and he’s going to find answers.

I had such fun with this introduction to the Rose Valley Wolves series.  Without giving away spoilers, Sienna and Kai’s story is gripping, full of danger, secrets, and passion that kept me engaged and finishing this one in record time.  It’s a well-written story with a few surprises along the way and a cast of secondary characters that I definitely want to know more about.  This was my first book by this author, and I will happily pick up the next story in the series to find out what happens next.
