Second Chance Bear will focus mainly on the Chance family, and their mates of course.  This time around Marcus will feel the mating call when a woman who has been dealt far too many emotional blows in her life comes to the Chance Heights Activity Center with her two adopted children for a shared experience.  Joanna will make a few surprising discoveries this week, but in addition to discovering that people really do shift into animals, she’ll also discover what being truly, completely loved for herself exactly as she is feels like.  Watching Joanna and Marcus interact, discover each other and accept who they really are was an emotional journey that I completely enjoyed.

There are a few surprises – some pleasant and uplifting, one not so much when a jerk of an ex shows his face and his true colors as well.  The twists are subtle, yet I found myself nodding with a smile as one was unveiled for it made perfect sense.  Secondary characters make a book for me and there are some wonderful non-Bear Creek people to get to know and embrace.  I had fun with Second Chance Bear, and if you love a few twists and turns with your Shifter Romance, then I’m certain you’ll love this one, too.
