While the entire pride awaits the birth of Rygan and Ailsing’s baby a momentary peace speckled with tension settles over the pride. The tension comes from knowing that the dangerous wolf pack that came after them are temporarily defeated but no one is willing to trust to deeply in the calm times. Daunte’s tensions focus as much on his pride as on one sexy little human who he has no business at all thinking about let alone being attracted to.
Clarissa is now part owner of Ace’s bakery, their unique friendship is growing daily. Because of that, and the delicious leftovers from the bakery she delivers every day Clarissa is quite comfortable at the huge house these shifters now call home. If she’s also interested in catching a glimpse of the handsome as sin Daunte, well that’s for her fantasies to know about. Life for Daunte and Clari are about to change, there’s good and bad parts to that change. The good is that finally Daunte can act upon his attraction for Clari – the bad is now Clari, a newborn kit and the entire pride will be under attack by those that want two specific people dead. Not gonna happen, but they’re going to need a lot more help than they ever had before.

Pretty Kitten is full of tensions, the trouble and the sexual kind, friends to lovers, danger and new people to add into the mix of the pride. Daunte and Clair’s romance is fun, sexy, dangerous and charming all rolled up into one. Watching them connect as mates, learning how the changes in Clari will affect them all makes for a tantalizing story. Of course there is danger on a large scale. And help comes in many unexpected forms.
Pretty Kitten is a page turner, a story that will grab your attention and not let go. I completely enjoyed my time here and would recommend this story and the series to any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader. I would suggest that the books be read in order, for there are threads woven throughout the series that make reading from start onward more logical for the full entertainment value.
I will freely admit that I want more of Tria, Daphne and Jason. They are fascinating characters, and the author, May Sage, promises that they will get their own stories told… in their own series to come. And you’d better believe I’ll be keeping an eye out for that to begin. Their personalities, their obvious bower make them truly fascinating to me – so we might (I don’t know for sure) see them again in this series but we will have their complete stories one day soon. According to Amazon “Realm of Darkness Infernal Three #1″ has a release date of Nov. 6, 2017… so if you loved these additional characters the wait for their own stories isn’t long at all.
