This town has a word for women like me.  They’ve been using it since before I was born.

I keep the light. I keep the wards. I keep a harbor that has never once kept me.  Then the sea took a man, and something in my chest pulled hard enough to put me in after him.

He came up breathing.  He looked at me like he already knew me.

Mate. Both of us. The same second.

When the council stood up to blame me for the wards, he was the only person who asked for proof.

Nobody has ever asked for proof before.  He won’t leave my side, and it’s going to get him killed.

I’ve been alone my whole life, and I could have lived with it.

I can’t do one more night without him.

Title:  Innocent Until Proven Witch
Series:  Standalone
Author:  Dominique Crave & Milly Taiden
Published:  September 4, 2026
My Rating:  4.5 stars

Innocent Until Proven Witch is a standalone title for now, although I’d certainly enjoy a few more trips to this intriguing town full of secrets.  Dominique Crave is a new author for me, and I’d definitely read more of their work, while Milly Taiden is an auto request/buy author I’ve enjoyed for years.  Together, they’ve created a world that was easy to fall into, with characters who held me spellbound throughout their adventure.  Secrets and mysteries galore await, along with an unusual fated-mates couple discovery and a world I’d really enjoy revisiting.

I completely enjoyed my time with Reina and Finn.  Their story is well-written, intriguing, mysterious, emotional, passionate, and full of those pesky secrets everyone seems to be holding tight.  If that sounds like your kind of Paranormal/Shifter Romance, then you’d love Innocent Until Proven Witch.  If the cover description doesn’t pull you in, then I don’t know what would.  And frankly, to say more would involve spoilers.  Check it out for yourself, and discover your next Paranormal/Shifter Romance indulgence.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the author or the author’s team via Booksprout, and I sincerely thank them for their trust. I chose to leave a review with my personal opinion of this book.*
