Howling for Attention is such an excellent beginning for the Half Moon Key series featuring a magical town where just about anything is possible.  I can’t wait for this small town to reveal more of its secrets to us.

Mason is heading to Half Moon Key, a place where his brother is the sheriff and perhaps a good place to take a step back from everything going on in his life.  It would be fair to say that Mason is accustomed to running to his brother when he’s in a, let’s say, tough spot but this time his brother is far from pleased to see him.  Along the road into town Mason encounters a fascinating woman prone to walking the woods at night it seems and vague in everything but directions to town.  Especially immune to his considerable charms, considering he’s thinking he’s found his mate who happens to be human, well, that’s quite a feat in his opinion.

Lila is a strong, stubborn woman who works hard and is completely content with spending the rest of her days in Half Moon Key where she’s taken over the family cafe.  What she doesn’t need is a distraction like Mason but he’s slowly wearing her down (and annoying her at the same time).  Yet she’s not believing he’s here for good, and she’s not leaving for anyone.

I had fun with Howling for Attraction.  There are twists in Lila and Mason’s story that often caught me off-guard but only made their story more interesting.  I’m loving the small-town quirkiness of Half Moon Key and definitely want to return as quickly as possible.

If you love a slightly unusual Shifter Romance, a town full of magic and secrets, as well as a couple who fit together so well in spite of themselves… then Howling for Attention is right up your alley.
