How To Hate Your Fated Mate begins the Shifters of Cedar Run series, introducing us to the Ward brothers, Andrew, Jesse, and Cole… brothers who will do everything in their power to deny that SHE could ever be their fated mate.  While I’m looking forward to watching Jesse and Cole fight against their own romantic fates, it’s Andrew and Henrietta who will start off the series in an intense, quick, and heated story that is packed full of everything I love about the world of Shifters.  Offered in a story that can easily be read on a lunch break or a bit of free time, and I’m hooked.

Everything you’d want to know before picking up Henrietta and Andrew’s romance can be found in the cover blurb.  In such a short, novella-sized story, I’m not about to give away any spoilers.  I can safely say that their story is an intense “I hate you but why do I still want you” kind of trope where it’s so easy to see why Henrietta feels betrayed and why Andrew is convinced that he did the right thing at the time, even if it cost him. Their story has a nasty piece of work villain to loathe quite easily, and family who doesn’t quite “get” the whole situation. 

Along the way, we get to watch two people who are more than perfect for each other fight that bond tooth and nail, in some, at times, rather hilarious ways.  There’s definitely passion, one-upmanship banter, and an ending that will warm even the most iceberg-like heart.  I had fun here, and I’m so glad to see Georgette St. Clair’s work out in the world once again!  If that sounds like your kind of Shifter Romance, then you’d love How To Hate Your Fated Mate.  I’m looking forward to the next release, very soon now.
