One kiss can haunt you forever.

Gretta Bowerson came home to Harvest Moon Hollow with one goal: save her grandmother’s struggling inn before someone turns generations of family history into another boutique hotel.

There’s just one problem.

The town’s famous ghost walk no longer stops at the Hollow House.

And the man holding the clipboard is Drew Kemp—the boy who kissed Gretta beneath the lanterns years ago and disappeared before sunrise.

Drew has spent years making himself useful to a town that never quite forgot his family’s scandal. He knows every permit, every festival secret, and exactly how to make a ghost appear in an upstairs window.

Gretta isn’t supposed to know that last part.

But when the Hollow House suddenly starts haunting itself, bookings pour in, tourists crowd the porch, and old feelings become considerably harder to keep buried. Because Drew isn’t only hiding the truth about the Weeping Bride.

He’s hiding what really happened the night he kissed Gretta goodbye.

Now Harvest Moon Hollow is buzzing, the ghosts are getting ambitious, and two people who have spent years leaving things unsaid are running out of places to hide.

Because some hauntings aren’t about the dead.

They’re about the love you never quite managed to leave behind.

Title:  Haunted by a Kiss
Series:  Forever in Season #6
Author:  Abbie St. Claire
Published:  September 24, 2026
My Rating:  4 stars

Haunted by a Kiss is the sixth title in the Forever In Season Collection.  I haven’t read the earlier books yet, but they are on my radar to check out.  I didn’t feel that I needed to read the earlier ones, but my curiosity is now piqued, and I’ll go back.

Gretta returned home to save her grandmother’s inn, not to reconnect with Drew, the man who broke her heart years ago.  Unfortunately, she can’t ignore him, since his ghost tours keep the inn, well, in business.  But there’s more than being uncomfortable around him, and that is what she needs to focus on… figuring out what is going on beneath the surface.  She might also find that the love they once had isn’t totally in the past… but are they each willing to take the risks to find out?

I enjoyed Haunted by a Kiss.  It’s perfect for spooky-season reading, with a touch of mystery, a bit of suspense, and definitely a haunted atmosphere.  Plus, there’s a couple to root for to finally face what happened that fateful night, because neither really understands that hard fact.  Gretta and Drew’s romance is well-written, emotional, engaging, and kept me on edge until the final page.  I had fun here, and that’s the entire point.  If you love your Romance with a bit of haunting love, then you’d enjoy this one.
