Social Worker Calypso Caldwell, also known to her family as the girl who sullied the Caldwell name with her career choice and disinterest in wealth and status. Callie’s job leads her to three special children, newly orphaned hybrid shifters Emmarie Bennett and her younger siblings Lula and Sage. Callie tries her best to keep them together. When Emmarie realizes this isn’t possible, she takes her siblings and runs. Callie doesn’t think the authorities are taking their disappearance seriously and conducts her own investigation. The information she uncovers leads her to Sanctuary, Montana where she finds the children and so much more.
Matthew Stone, Black River Pack’s resident mischief-maker, is all grown up. Even though he’s matured, he’s still up for any challenge, especially if it has to do with his family. Including help his Uncle Koda harbor three tiny fugitives. The Bennett siblings stole Matt’s heart with a single look, much like the woman who shows up looking for them.
Matt definitely learned what not to do after witnessing the men who’ve come before him stubbornly fight their fate. He swore when he found his mate, he’d immediately claim his destiny. Unfortunately, Calypso Caldwell has other ideas. Matt has met his match in the Maine Coon Shifter who shares her name with a goddess. He’s willing to wait for her if it means he’ll have the one thing he’s always wanted: A family of his own.
Sexy shifters and their feisty mates who aren’t shy about loving each other – in other words, there’s going to be sex involved in this story – so, this is an adult, 18+ reader tale.
Titles in The Shifters of Sanctuary series include: Resisting His Irish Spitfire – His Foxy Lady – The Grizzly Bear’s Barista – A Purrfect Gift of Fate – Catching Her Wolf – Finding His Family –
Title: Finding His Family
Series: Shifters of Sanctuary #6
Author: Kasey Belle
Published: November 26, 2018
My Rating: 4.5 stars
For me, Finding His Family was the best of this series, and that’s saying something for they are all amazing stories. I don’t want to see this series come to an end, yet this one has a wrapping up feel to it – if that’s a fact then it’s been an incredible journey with funny, sexy, intriguing characters and situations. I would love to revisit Sanctuary a bit down the line when the children of this series are ready to take their places as adults finding their own mates… that would be freakin’ awesome. Just sayin’.
The opening of Finding His Family is heartbreaking and fast paced which is a feeling that continues throughout Callie and Matt’s romance, and the future for Emmarie, Lula and Sage. There is a bit of time passing between stories as the Matt we laughed with in Catching Her Wolf is not the same man we meet in Finding His Family. Oh, there will always be a boy filled with mischief in Matt’s heart and personality, but he’s also matured and is well prepared for what fate is about to bring into his life.
It was such a treat to meet up with most of the members of Sanctuary or at least have mention of them. Callie’s parents are unfortunately how many people feel today, and that is so sad and such a loss for family members. I loved every moment in this world once again, and feel you should discover this story firsthand. I laughed, cried, got angry and felt hopeful for the future of all the people at Sanctuary. I’ve had a blast with this story and this series, and if this is the ending, then it’s been an awesome adventure that I’m glad I got to experience. Yes, I would recommend this to any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader… you’ll fast become hooked, and enjoy every minute.
