Jasper’s story is an enjoyable mixture of new beginnings and facing down the past with all its ugliness. Sometimes you’ll find a bit of shining gold within the past, so you grab onto that and move forward to the future. Pretty much everything you need to know to make the decision to pick up Dragon Defying is in the cover description. At times Jasper’s story is frustrating and sad, especially when we realize just how corrupt his former clan and town truly are now. While a bit reluctant to get involved with anyone at the moment, Julia soon realized that Jasper is one of the good guys that you don’t let slip through your fingers… especially when his love for you has him defying authority, facing down old enemies and putting his life on the line for yours.
An enjoyable shifter romance that brings a few more dragons to Torch Lake. I was very glad to see the dragons helping Jasper make the decision they did. Dragons should mean honor always, and kinda cheered when the dragons helped Jasper and Julia. In all Dragon Defying is a fun, sexy romance that moves the series along a bit further. If you love Shifter Romance, then you’d enjoy this story and series.
