The prophecy said the bloodmoon wolf would destroy everything. Ryker Dusk took that personally.
So he built a sanctuary, isolated himself from fate, and absolutely did not pine over the visions of a woman who haunted his dreams. Until she showed up in town with a suitcase, a soulmate vibe, and a magical power that made the Veil start cracking like cheap glass.
Now the town’s under attack, the realm between worlds is bleeding shadow demons, and apparently the only way to fix it… is to mate.
Perfectly. Publicly. And without blowing a hole in reality.
No pressure.
But Sonya Sibyl isn’t afraid of prophecies. She’s afraid of Ryker ghosting again after they save the world.
Which is fair. He’s not exactly known for emotional stability. Or, you know, staying.
But destiny’s done waiting. And if these two don’t get their bond right on the first try, the Void’s going to turn Hollow Oak into a snack.
She saw the future. It included a lakeside wedding and a hot wolf husband.
Not cosmic annihilation because her man couldn’t commit.

Title: Collar Me Craazy

Collar Me Crazy is the eighth title in the Hollow Oak Mates series, featuring Sonya and Ryker, one seer who has come to this small town drawn by her visions, and one wolf shifter, a loner, a man who is convinced he’ll only bring disaster and pain to anyone he cares for… so he stays set apart, it’s for the best. But, is it really? Or is it more like Ryker runs when things get emotional? Prophecy or fear? He’s about to find out when his mate seeks him out, and it all comes down to them to save (or destroy) their world.
The danger facing Hollow Oak now is ancient and requires several components to be in place: the Bloodmoon wolf (Ryker) and the seven fated mate couples, Callum and Cora, Emmett and Katniss, Lucien and Moira, Luka and Leenah, Elias and Kaia, Kieran and Freya, Maddox and Sera… and now Sonya and Ryker to be present. An overload, if you will, of fated mate magic and one prophetic wolf will hold the fate of this community, and perhaps, beyond. While the danger level is intense, it really all rests on one man, who, from his tragic childhood, has believed that he cannot love or care about anyone, or they will be doomed. And Ryker has a tendency to run from emotional connections. He’s fine and content when dealing with the injuries of wounded animals, but not so good with facing his own injuries, the emotional ones.
Collar Me Crazy feels like the final story in this series. I do not know if that is true, only that to me this feels like everything is wrapped up, and the phrasing in some parts of this story added to that feeling. If so, then I’ve immensely enjoyed this series… and if there is more, then that’s an added bonus treat.
I enjoyed Ryker and Sonya’s adventure so much. It’s a well-written, intense, emotional romance with touches of danger, laughter, and fate stepping in at just the right time. If that’s your kind of Paranormal/Shifter Romance, then you’d love Collar Me Crazy by Kala Aster and Milly Taiden.
