I smell her before I see her.  Blood. Winter. Power that doesn’t belong in a human body.

She crosses my land on the Longest Night, and the second I catch her scent, my Wolf makes the choice for both of us.

I should send her back to the Crypt.  Instead, I drag her to my cabin and lock the door.

She heals me with her blood.  I claim her with my teeth.  Now the Pack calls her queen—and I call her mine.

They want her dead.  They want her throne.  They want her power.

They brought an army. I brought my teeth.

Title:  Claimed Under Bloodlight
Series:  Standalone at this time
Author:  Sabrina Sin & Milly Taiden
Published:  January 15, 2026
My Rating:  4 stars

Claimed Under Bloodlight is a standalone title; at this time, it would work as an introduction to a series, but I’ve seen no indication of that (yet).

I enjoyed this clash between shifters and vampires, and the discovery of something even more.  While there were several timeline moments that didn’t always make sense, overall, it’s a good story that held my attention to the end.  I will always pick up a story by Milly Taiden (or one she’s co-written), yet this time there wasn’t a special “magic” I usually feel in her stories.  So, yeah, it’s a good story, but not one that I’d reread, although I do think this could work as a series introduction.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

If you love Ms. Taiden’s work (no matter who she’s co-writing with), be sure to visit our Milly Taiden page for reviews of other series, or just to discover stories you might have missed.
