I kissed a biker, and I liked it.
But it was also the stupidest idea I’ve ever had.
I almost let him press me against the wall, let him have his way, let—
But I didn’t before I got into any more trouble.
The thing is, I gravitate toward him like some lone asteroid finding a planet to pummel into.
His voice is deep but smooth like melted chocolate and his eyes…
God, his eyes.
Men like him should not be allowed to look this good. They cause wrecks.
I don’t need someone like him in my life.
I have a son, and I finally got down a way to juggle single-parent life and work.
I don’t need some outlaw biker guy screwing all that up for me.
Besides, I’m a police officer, and I shouldn’t let some hottie bad boy with god knows what on his criminal record kiss me.
But boy was it a kiss.
I hope he’s not going to kiss me again because I don’t know that I’m strong enough to resist.
What if I lose my senses again and do something stupid?
What if I allow myself to have some fun for once in my life?
What if he wants my all, and I let him have it?

Title: Claimed by the Beast
Series: Bear Justice MC #4
Author: Ruby Knoxx
Published: May 6, 2020
My Rating: 4 stars
‘Claimed by the Beast‘ is the fourth title in the ‘Bear Justice MC‘ series, and this time the guys will be facing a threat against a school full of innocent young kids – and Mitzel will be facing a woman, a mother, a cop that simply doesn’t want another man in her life, but will fight tooth and nail to protect her son.
Raven is a stubborn, opinionated woman that I had a very difficult time caring if she got her happy ending or not. That’s harsh, I know, but stubborn I can handle, her level of disbelief even when faced with facts, the way she would cut Mitzel even as her ‘head’ was arguing about finding the guy hot she definitely ran cold…for me. Yet, oddly, together they make a good couple when they’re on the same wavelength.
The underlying mystery, the case that has the MC in town is unnerving, and although it’s not hard to guess who is involved, it was the why of it all that was fascinating to watch become clear. Little Skyler is a sweetheart, and Raven is definitely a momma bear (even if she is human) about anything regarding her son.
The action is fast, the chemistry sizzling, and the story was good. My being completely on Team Mitzel didn’t take away one bit from the story of ‘Claimed by the Beast‘, and if you love a good Shifter Romance then this is a series you should be reading.
