Lucian and Vivian’s story, Billionaire’s Fated Mate, is the second title in the Urban Fated Mates Chronicles series… and prepare yourself for a wild ride with these two!  Vivian is a strong, intelligent, determined woman who, in her opinion, has forged her own destiny.  When she is suddenly, and without her permission, marked by Lucian as his mate… well, to say she was displeased is the understatement of the century.  The fact that they were mates who needed each other to deal with what was happening in their world gave Lucian all the permission he needed to bind Vivian to him.  Yes, he neglected to ask her permission or even for her opinion, but that is how Lucian operates, with absolute razor-sharp determination and the belief that his way is the only way.  He may have to rethink that attitude now that Vivian is bonded to him.

Their story is intense in both the danger around them and the reaction that they have to each other.  To call these two stubborn would be laughable, for they are far more than merely stubborn; they are convinced that they are absolutely right every time, no matter what anyone’s opinion or the reality of the situation warrants.  They are legal and corporate cutthroats, aside from being mates.  Frankly, there was a lot of corporate speak and legalese that, at times, took me out of the story while I put a phrase into context with their story.  That’s not a complaint, for it did bring their world into sharper focus, but it is also an observation.

In all, I enjoyed Billionaire’s Fated Mate by Amelia Wilson.  It’s well-written (which I always expect from this author), the intensity of their story kept me on edge throughout, and the connection between them, emotionally and physically, was on fire.  If that sounds like your kind of Shifter Romance, then you’d love Vivian and Lucian’s powerful story.
