Flour in her hair. Fire in his eyes. Sparks everywhere.

Dahlia Moon is everyone’s rock, and she’s exhausted. She runs her family’s bakery, stress-bakes anxiety croissants at 4 a.m., and hasn’t thought about her Paris dreams in years. But when a territorial dispute threatens her grandmother’s legacy, this soft-hearted witch finds her edge. She doesn’t need complications—especially not the grumpy, stupidly handsome bear shifter who keeps showing up for honey scones and watching her with eyes that make her forget how to frost a cupcake.

Callum Ursa doesn’t do feelings. He’s in Haven Shores to fix his family’s mess—six months, tops, then gone. Then he walks into a bakery and the soft, flour-dusted witch behind the counter makes his bear go still—then desperate. She smells like temptation, argues with him like it’s foreplay, and keeps tucking her hair behind her ear in a way that makes him want to trace the path with his mouth.

When a ruthless rival targets the bakery, Dahlia needs help—even if it comes with emotional baggage and a bear who won’t stop hovering. But between honey harvests and late-night baking sessions, the tension rises faster than her bread—and keeping their hands to themselves becomes a battle neither wants to win.

Welcome back to Haven Shores, where the croissants are therapeutic, the bears are protective, and falling in love is the sweetest risk of all.

Title:  Bearly Hexed
Series:  Haven Shores #3
Author:  Milly Taiden
Published:  June 11, 2026
My Rating:  4.5 stars

Bearly Hexed is the third title in the Haven Shores series, and as the danger to Haven Shores increases, some former residents are making their way back home… reluctantly at times, but the draw of home is often too hard to deny.  Especially when one’s unexpected fated mate is in danger as well.  Callum (Cal) had left home years ago to make his mark in the world; he had his reasons at the time, but as the heir apparent to his grandfather, his family, his clan is in a mess… so he’s back for a very short visit to fix the mess and get out of town fast.  Only he discovers something far more sinister than a few problems, more than the magic/mate surge could be responsible for.  His grandfather is dying, and it might not be of natural causes.

Dahlia is the strength of her community: her magical baked goods have always shown her strength, her devotion to the people in this magical coastal town. Recipes handed down from her grandmother have always helped her friends and neighbors through life’s challenges.  Yet, the appearance of one elusive man with a strong hands-off attitude has turned her life upside down.  Then the mishaps with her baked goods start, the suspicions begin to rise, and a very nasty piece of work steps from the shadows, clearly after everything she holds dear.  Turning to a bear shifter who obviously already has one foot out of town might not be the perfect solution, but he brings calm to the chaos around her, and she trusts Cal with everything within her.  She’s going to need that trust as events begin to unfold with even more dangerous intentions.

I enjoyed Bearly Hexed so much.  Dahlia and Cal do fit together so well; they simply have to get beyond some very stubborn attitudes before that happy ending can fall into place… oh, and take down some nasty villains along the way.  Their story is well-written, emotional, passionate, and full of laughter, tears, and some very dangerous situations.  I love how this town comes together to fight whatever obstacle is facing any of their residents.  And the circle of friends, the guys at a large booth at the brewery and the ladies at Avine’s place all come together to hold each other up in a crisis, and become a sounding board when life turns upside down.  If that sounds like your kind of Shifter/Paranormal Romance, then you’d love Dahlia and Cal’s journey.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
