Alpha Attacked begins the Big City Lycan series with a quick, fast-paced story that introduces this pack and an ER doctor with one of the strangest patients ever. Really, her patients don’t normally just jump up off the table while she’s extracting bullets from their bodies! But, then again, it is the night of the full moon, and any medical person will tell you that the strangest things happen under that brightly lit disc in the night sky. But people sighting a wolf running through the ER entrance doors? That hasn’t happened before!
I loved Maeve and Griffin, they’re both holding secrets, the kind that can get themselves (and others) in trouble, if not dead. Two equally stubborn people (although Maeve may win that contest) who don’t believe in that happy ever after life discover what the fuss is all about when Griffin meets his mate, and Maeve can’t deny the more than sexual attraction sizzling between them. There are vile villains here, plus people that I enjoyed learning about as, hopefully, they’ll get their stories told one day. A bit of a mystery, some dangerous moments, some hot, sexy times, and that quirky sense of humor that Ms. Langlais is somewhat famous for all add up to a fun, sexy introduction to the Big City Lycan series. I’m already hooked and waiting for the next story to drop.
If you love a Shifter/Paranormal Romance with a touch of danger, unexpected humor, a puzzle to put together, and a couple that burns up the pages, then Alpha Attacked is just right for you!
